Appana
Opis
Appana to stan medytacyjnego zjednoczenia z obiektem medytacji. Słowo to pochodzi z języka palijskiego.
Description
Appana is a state of meditative union with the object of meditation. The word comes from the Pali language. Its direct translation would be: absorption, immersion, however, for people unfamiliar with meditation, these words will not explain much. Appana is a state in which the perception of the external world disappears, although the awareness of this world does not disappear – we know perfectly well what is around us, what is happening around us, but at this moment it does not matter to us. It’s like the awareness of our own skin, we know that it is there, we know that it covers our body, but in everyday activities this awareness has no meaning. So what remains when the perception of the outside world disappears?… What remains is a peace whose intensity you cannot experience in any other state.
