Iddhi
Opis
Description
Iddhi in Pali means miracle. Interestingly, this usually does not refer to anything that can be perceived or experienced through the senses. All forms and phenomena are externally conditioned and transient, so they have no objective value that would not depend on other phenomena. And since they only manifest as conditioned, they are empty in themselves. Hence the statement that form is emptiness and emptiness is form. So why such a title for the painting and what does it mean?… It certainly does not mean that this painting shows anything miraculous, but rather warns against perceiving phenomena as miraculous, including images. Where to look for the miraculous and does it exist at all?… Or maybe existence itself is a miracle and only it? I don’t want to provoke you, because neither is it.
