Udaka
Opis
Udaka znaczy woda.
Description
Udaka means water. Water is the source of life – it’s a cliché that even preschoolers know. But as the source of life, it symbolizes all the environments of our planet. It is a symbol of life-giving coolness, and its absence is a symbol of the threat of drought, water is a symbol of freshness and rottenness, it is synonymous with purity and threats related to environmental pollution. From the muddy water grows the purest flower of this plant – the lotus, and here I am reminded of a quote from one of the gats of meals sung in Zen Soto monasteries: „From the muddy water, with the purity of the lotus, this is how we bow to Buddha.” Do you know what this quote is about?
